GPS can provide location, speed, time, etc information. Inertial navigation device can provide acceleration, rotate rate and sail angle. Although GPS is highly accurate, there is blind area, when GPS signal is blocked by bank of clouds or tall buildings, and its capability will be seriously affected. However, inertial navigation technology is not easily affected by external environment, can compensate the deficiency of GPS technology.GPS and Inertial navigation technology is usually used in traffic, sail and aircraft. This paper researches on the technology of Personal GPS location and Inertial Assistant Navigation based on embedded operation system and embedded information process environment.When a person is moving, its orientation is also changing. For realizing correct location and navigation, we need to research the problem of indicating the yaw angle and orientation changing based on the north dynamically.This paper has three parts. The first part researches on GPS technology in embedded platform. The designing Windows CE kernel for XSBase270 platform, the conception of multi-thread and the method of program realization, the API function for serial port communication in Windows CE are introduced. The program realization process using the multi-thread technology to receive data from GPS device, to parse NMEA-0183 protocol is explained. Labeling the location on the electron map based on the orientation information from GPS receiver, to realize the navigation function. The second part researches on INS in embedded platform. The work theory and communication mechanism of inertial device, the arithmetic of calculating the displacement using the acceleration from inertial device combining time information are introduced. The program realization process of INS is introduced, and the emulation result is gained. The third part researches on aim repetition location. The arithmetic of aim repetition location, the theory of LCD, the graph program theory in Windows CE are introduced. The program realization process of aim repetition location is introduced, and the emulation result is gained.
