Study on The Plant Community and Their Community Species Diversity in Huboliao Nature Reserve, Nanjing, Fujian,ChinaABSTRACTThe plant community in Huboliao National Nature Reserve in Fujian, China was studied based on 60 plot samples. The results showed that there were mainly 12 Formation ( Form. Pin us massoniana, Form. Pinus massoniana+Sapium discolor, Form. Podocarpus nagi, Form. Castanopsis hystrix, Form. Castanopsis hystrix+Castanopsis uraiana, Form. Castanopsis hystrix-\-Schima superba, Form. Castanopsis fargesii, Form. Castanopsis uraiana, Form. Castanopsis fissa, Form. Schima superba, Form. Phyllostachys heterocycla cv. Pubescens, Form. Pinus massoniana+Schima superba ).The species richness index, Shannon-Wiener index (H' ), Simpson index (D) PIE and Pielou evenness index (Jsw and Jsi) were used to study the community diversities of forest vegetation in Huboliao National Nature Reserve. The results are as follows:(1) These diversity indexes indicate a trend - the more abundant the components of the community and more complicated the structure of the community, the higher value of these diversity indexes. Species diversity indexes for different communities in Huboliao Reserve is in the following order: monsoon evergreen broadleaf forest> Form. Pinus massoniana+Schima superba > Form. Pinus massoniana+Sapium discolor > Form. Phyllostachys heterocycla cv. pubescens > Form. Pinus massoniana(2) Diversity indexes of tree layer, shrub layer and herb layer are affected by the species richness obviously. But community evenness is independent of species richness index.(3) In monsoon evergreen broadleaf forest, Form. Pinus massoniana, Form. Pinus massoniana+Sapium discolor and Form. Pinus massoniana+Schima superba, the shrub layer have the highest values of diversity index, herb layer the second, and tree layer the least.In Form. Phyllostachys heterocycla cv. pubescens, the values of dM, //'and Dchange as : herb layer >shrub layer >tree layer, And the values of community evenness( Jsw and Jsi) and PIE change as follow: shrub layer > herb layer > tree layer. However, in Form. Podocarpus nagi, the species of shrub layer meet less percentage because of the abundance of the species of herb layer. There is a contrary trend at different growth form's species diversity index and Margalef richness index (dM), herb layer >shrub layer >tree layer. Whereas, for H' , D, PIE and Jsw, it is herb layer > tree layer > shrub layer.(4) The comparision of the species diversity indexes in relation to differed layer in the reserve shows that : (1) The Shannon-Wiener and Simpson index of the tree layer in Form. Castanopsis fargesii are the highest, but in Form. Podocarpus nagi are the least. (2) The Shannon-Wiener and Simpson index of the shrub and the herb layer in Form. Castanopsis hystrix are the highest. The Shannon-Wiener and Simpson index of the shrub layer in Form. Podocarpus nagi are the least. But The Shannon-Wiener and Simpson index of the herb layer in Form. Podocarpus nagi are the least.(5) Comparing the plant communities from different latitudes, it shows that the rule of community species diversity and community tree layer diversity index change as the latitude changes according with Wlater and Whittaker's conclusion about Shannon-Wiener index decrease as latitude increase.
