Normal University, the cradle of China's primary and secondary teachers conceived, bears the important task of training teachers for the country, and it directly determines the overall quality of teachers in the state of education in the future. With the advances in science and technology, the life-long education and teacher professional formulation of the theory, the rapid development of teachers in continuing education and the deepening of the reform of basic education, Normal College is facing unprecedented challenges. Normal University's teacher should not only have a rich, comprehensive professional knowledge, education, theoretical knowledge, but have good teaching skills and research capabilities, which requires the teachers in Teacher College of Education at the receiving end after the traditional, and also through the continued expansion of their teacher training to improve their overall quality.Via investigating the journal literature online access to relevant information, this article summarize the advantage and shortcomings existing in continuing education teachers research, based on the learning from others'reseach, and combine of higher normal colleges actual needs of physics teachers, designe and write the Normal University's Physics Teachers Continuing Education questionnaire. By using of questionnaires, investigate the current status and hope of the continuing education of physics teachers of four Normal University in Shaanxi Province, and hope to realize the current status of continuing education with the training object-Normal Colleges actual expectations of Physics Teachers link with the experience of further education at abroad, make effective, reasonable advice, enrich the content of continuing education of teachers.This article include four parts:The first chapter is the introduction part, discusses the basic concepts of "continuing education", "continuing education of teachers", and "that of Physics teachers of Normal University", and describe the significance of topics and methods in this study.The second chapter is the literature review part of the paper introducing the history of the development of teachers and continuing education status, and continuing education of teachers at home and abroad were compared.The third one is about the present state of the survey and analysis on continuing education of Physics teachers in Normal University. The result shows that the current situation of Shaanxi Normal University continuing education of Physics teachers are as follows:most of the teachers with right attitude consider it necessary for continuing education. but the utilitarian purpose of re-education is strong for teachers, especially for young teachers who mainly aim for staff rank. National, social and normal universities provide teachers with so few opportunities for continuing education that the actual needs of teachers can not be met.,The teachers with more than fifteen years teaching experience and the teachers newly recruited have hardly accepted the teacher training; The teachers think that the main problems of continuing education of teachers are the inadequate funding and the imperfect management system; For the continuing education, The standards for the distribution of classes are chaotic and the training period is unreasonable and the teachers are weak; Teachers have a wide range of needs for the content of continuing education, continuing education institutions also have opened a wealth of courses, but that can not meet the actual expectations of teachers; Although continuing education is rich in the formulation, the results are poor, because the teaching formulation are not worked out according to the content of teaching and the requirements of teachers.In chapter 4, there are some recommendations about Normal University Continuing Education of Physics Teachers. Aiming at the actual situation of Normal University for Teachers, the author proposes:First, to update the concept of teachers, related leaders in Teachers Colleges and executives of education authorities, to change their understanding for continuing education, and to establish a correct concept of continuing education; second, to establish and improve the continuing education rules and regulations and make it have regulations to abide by, to set up regulations that those who benefit from it should pay, according to the benefit degree of teachers, Teachers Colleges and the State to determine three levels of funding guarantee system, also set reasonable incentive measures to encourage teachers'enthusiasm and initiative on participating in continuing education; third, through a rigorous selection system, enhance teachers'level in the continuing education; fourth, taking the teachers'needs, experience, capability and receptive ability as the standard to divide the class; fifth, according to different training contents, different teachers' need, and teachers'practical situation to formulate a training period; Sixth, draw up a content comprehensive, useful, and reasonable course content; seventh, on the basis of different teaching contents and actual situations, choose the economic, appropriate forms of teaching; eighth, build a scientific evaluation of continuing education evaluation system from three aspects of organizing assessment panel, selecting evaluation mode and working out evaluation criteria.
