Establishment Of Airworthiness Management System At D Company

With the development of Chinese economy , a prosperous and increasing rapid demamndis kept in air transportation industry. At present , there are approximately 2,000 aircrafts witha market of 200,000 pieces of aircraft tyres, over 70 percent of which are worn casing aircrafttyres and can be retreaded (over 140,000).It will be a larger market if we put on an eye onglobal aircrafts according to Boeing's forecast issued in Lundon on Jun 11,2010 that there willbe about 29,000 new transportation aircrafts in 2028. While aircraft tyres are importantcomponents of aircraft , there is a high industry wall.In order to ensure aircraft safety , thenational airworthiness authorities issued a lot of management regulations and technicalstandards , which give strict requirements . Establishing airworthiness management systemand obtaining "maintenance approval" are necessary pass card for enterprises to enter theaircraft tyres retread industry.This article takes the applications for CAAC and EASA "maintenance approval" in Dcompany established newly as a main frame , gives a study for how to establish and apply forairworthiness management system according to CAAC and EASA relative regulations in acompany with green field in management system . At the begin of this article , authorintroduces the history of CAAC and EASA airworthiness ,and aircraft basic knowledge , thenbriefly describes the general requirements of CAAC and EASA , at last , this article paysmore attention to the establaishment and application of airworthiness management systemfrom management system (quality system,production system ,technical system , trainingsystem and safety managements system) and test system (TSO test and Escalation test). Allissues met in establishment and application are sorted out and given conclusions.In Aug, 2009, CAAC and EASA accepted D company's airworthiness management, thetyres retreaded by D company passed all strict tests and obtained CAAC and EASA"maintenance approval", the result makes sure the establishment and application ofairworthiness regulation in D company are successful, which can give theory and practicereference for new entrant or company that wants to improve aircraft tyres quality .
