With the development of society and economy, the pace of urbanization accelerates, which leads to the contradiction between supply and demand of urban transportation much worse, urban traffic problems has become one of the obstacles for further development of society. Use the urban traffic development of experience and lessons in large and medium-sized cities at home and abroad as a source of reference, from the viewpoint of sustainable development, analyze the characteristics of urban traffic, domestic large and medium-sized cities have been choosing urban rail transit as mainstay of urban transportation development. This conforms to the sustainable development demand of urban traffic, helpful for domestic urban traffic develops healthily and sustainably.In urban rail transit construction, there are huge funds pressure and intense competitive of the passenger, the urban development level and citizen's paying capacity needs to balance, and the strategy of sustainable development of urban traffic. Whether the rail fare is reasonable has become the key to the development of urban rail transit. Therefore, starting from the actual situation of China, research on urban rail transit fare is significant for the healthy development of rail transit. Starting from the definition of urban rail transit, the classification and features, the influence factors of urban rail transit are analyzed, emphatically analyzed transportation cost, transport demand, residents' travel paying capacity, government regulation and competition, etc. And through the analysis of the demand theory and the influence factors of urban rail transit, and the analysis of how the fare adjusts the demand. And forecast the demand of urban rail transit through the related model. Based on these analysis, the thesis researches on pricing principles of urban rail transit, the pricing strategy and target of different development stages of urban rail transit. Also several common pricing model are analyzed. Fully acknowledge the current price formulation method, the thesis use multi-objective programming principle and method to establish the pricing model of urban rail transit. Use computer to run the pricing model, combination with xian subway model for empirical research, thus to predict reasonable fare level in future yeas.
