| Along with the increasing investment in infrastructure, steel manufacturing industry develops rapidly in China. However, the import price of iron ore and the logistics cost, which is closely related to the steel production, is increasing continually, which gives our steel enterprises new challenge on procurement and supply chain management. Only if they optimize and reform their system in total supply chain circumstances, steel enterprises could reduce procurement logistics costs.This thesis highly focus on the procurement that has a space of cost saving, which is easily neglected, through the research and analysis on the operation procedure of procurement logistics system in the Jian Long steel group, attempts to establish a general optimizing model that is suitable for steel enterprises, in the hope of being a reference to steel enterprises when they need to optimize the procurement logistics system.Through a complementation of qualitative and quantitative, a combination of theoretical studies and empirical analyses, the thesis starts with characteristic of steel materials and the procurement process existing in the steel enterprises, through Petri nets modeling method and arena simulation software, giving a systemic analysis on warehouse entry and transportation of raw materials and fuel, and it finds out those processes that is a waste of time and cost and puts forward some methods of optimization. Finally, through empirical analysis, we can prove that the optimization of procurement logistics system about steel enterprises is feasible and correct.The main contribution of this thesis is the establishment a Petri nets model based on procurement process, and simplifying the complex Petri nets model, through the simulation analysis finding out the feasible optimization measures.
