Human resource is the core resource of the Aerospace science and technology enterprises. Performance appraisals and personnel incentive mechanisms, which are essential part of the human resource management, play an important role in the operations and development of the Aerospace science and technology enterprises. The employees of the Aerospace science and technology enterprises are distinct from those of other sectors, which make special demands on the human resource management of the Aerospace science and technology enterprises. The competition between Aerospace science and technology enterprises, in a sense, is the competition of the human resources. Therefore, it is of great importance to build a team of high-calibre employees by performance appraisals and personnel incentives.The purpose of this paper is to discuss the ways of performance appraisals and personnel incentives according to the latest theories and findings as well as the situation of the 8357 institute of China Aerospace science and technology Corporation.The main contents of this paper are as follows:1. The characteristics of the Aerospace science and technology enterprises and the particularity of the human resource management in those enterprises.2. Relevant theories about performance appraisals and personnel incentive mechanisms.3. The structure of the performance appraisals and personnel incentive mechanisms suited to the Aerospace science and technology enterprises.4. The ways of performance appraisals and the unique personnel incentive mechanisms in the 8357 institute.5. Conclusions and prospects.The research findings of this paper will enrich present theories about performance appraisals and personnel incentive mechanisms. In addition, they will also help to change ideas of the employees in the Aerospace science and technology enterprises and build a team of excellent employees and finally enhance their competitiveness.
