Research On Core Competence Of Engineering Cost Consultation Enterprise

Engineering cost consultation enterprises are those industries that offer service for engineering project. Despite their fast development in China, there is great gap with developed countries such as America, Japan and British. According to GATS, it has been concealed the entry into cost consultation industry in China since 2005. And from then, most and most foreign counterparts will flow into civil market. The foreign enterprises will make use their advantages in capital, technology, management, talents, services and reputation which take more challenge to counterparts in China. If enterprises want to get competitive advantage, they must find out weakness, reform, cultivate and create core competition. These can protect us from being defeated and make us remain long advantage.The thesis starts from the present condition of cost consultation in our country and from the theory of core competence. Then comparing with Japan and British who offer us perish experience at government supervising, industry self-controlling and enterprise developing. Secondly, Based on the understanding about the theory of core competence and cost consultation industry, the thesis presents the elements of core competence including culture, knowledge, technique and management in engineering cost consultation enterprises. In addition, by referring to the theory structure of competence; the indexes of core competence from IMD; the evaluating system and method of core competence from home and foreign country, the writer creates the evaluating index system of core competence of engineering cost consultation enterprise associating with the characters of consultation industry by using questionnaire method and expert-feedback method. And the thesis builds on the fuzzy evaluation model which probes into an approach to combine the quantitative analysis with qualitative analysis in evaluating core competence of cost consultation enterprise. Finally, the thesis offers the way of cultivating and creating core competence display as follow:cultivating excellent culture; creating learning and innovating enterprise; strengthening HR management; heightening informatization level; heightening product quality and establishing special operation; erecting corporate image and shaping brand.
