The core competences of enterprises are the unique capabilities and owned by enterprises and difficult to imitate. They are necessary conditions for the enterprises to set up and maintain the competitive strength. Then theory "Core competences" presented a challenge to the modern theory of the firm that is in leading positions for several decades. It replaces Michael Porter's strategic management theory to become a new trend. But at present the evaluation method on the core competences is still very limited, and evaluation model is still in an immature stage. Most papers research the definition, training program, evaluation index system. But it lacks the quantitative results which based on model evaluation. Based on the background above, this paper tells the definition and characteristic of the core competences of enterprises, and tells that core competences'factors are made of resources and capacity. Then, we make the index system in purpose principle, objectivity principle, exercisable principle, and so on. And then we introduce and compare several evaluation methods which include PCA, FCE, DEA, and AHP. Then, refer to the current preliminary study on the evaluation method; we proposed the principles and ideas of evaluation model. Based on this, we establish a new evaluation method of enterprise's core competitiveness-Fuzzy matter-element model based entropy. The model is mainly based on matter element analysis, fuzzy mathematics and information theory and other theories, makes the "distance" between sample and matter-element standards as the pros and cons of the degree, and makes the entropy as the index's coefficient of weight. So we could get the"Final score"of each program. It means that we get the sort result of enterprises on the strength of core competence. At last, we use an example which constitutes four listed companies'data of 2008 verifies the model's effectiveness and precise. |
