After the coming of Green-economy Age, the relationship between international trade and environment has been receiving increasing attention nowadays. With more and more attention of people to the climatic change, the tendency to a lower-carbon economy becomes clearer and clearer. Many countries have implemented the measures related to the "Green New Deal". The developed nations are attempting to take the opportunity of this multiplication of global crises to gain competitive advantage in the low-carbon economy and leave the less-developed far behind who is running in the road to high-carbon development. Thus, a new wave of green economy, which is characterized by the new energy and low-carbon revolution, is sweeping the globe and becomes an irreversible trend in the field of environmental and development. In the future, international trade will still play the role of growth engine, but will be known as the "growth engine of low-carbon economy". From the point of prospective trend, great change will happen to global trade structure in the brand-new green world:the share of high-energy consumption and high-polluting products will decrease, whereas low-energy consumption and low-polluting products rise. By then, the advanced economies will manage the leading right of game-ruling in low-carbon circle.China's exploration to find out low-carbon development way not only has good uniformity with the world energy trend, but is also consistent with our target to industrial restructuring, transformation of economic growth mode and emission reduction. In the meantime, it is a warning sign send by the new green trend to China which is transforming from large trade volume to trade power that we should change the mode of trade development thoroughly. In face of a new round of global green surge, China has the demand of expanding green economy as well as a firm foundation. Therefore, low-carbon economy poses a new topic to our foreign trade.Under the dual background, this paper mainly uses qualitative analysis, quantitative analysis, and the combination of theory analysis and empirical research to probe into the current situation of China's export trade and the new challenges and opportunities brought by green trend. The results of empirical analyses in this article show that in recent years, embodied energy in our export trade and carbon dioxide emission occurred during the productive process cannot be ignored, thus reflect the embarrassing fact that China is the world's low-cost manufacturing workshop. China's future energy demands and green house gas emission will increase continuously with the continuous expansion of export. The coordinated development among our society, environment, economy, energy will face severe challenges by restriction of resource. In addition, new invisible low-carbon barriers and forms of the international carbon-trading program which is set up by the Kyoto Protocol are summed up and analyzed in this paper. It is thus clearly that the low-carbon factors have occupied an important position in the international trade field. As a consequence, green factor is not just required but the key to succeed in the global competition. We should develop green trade to deal with the challenges from green era.On the basis of the above, it explores the strategic ways to realize the win-win purpose between trade and environment from both macro and micro perspectives. The government should build and implement low-carbon trade strategy, construct a national-wide carbon market to make use of CDM effectively and carry out environment diplomacy actively to achieve the successful transition of China's trade strategy. At the same time, the export enterprises will be supposed to make low-carbon developing strategy, achieve product structural green and technical level's upgrade, strengthen the sense of green responsibility, build low-carbon brand along with apply for more low-carbon project.Hence, green economy and low-carbon development trend are included in the trade research field, by which the reality explanation by theory is gradually increasing. Furthermore, this article is of great importance for China to achieve harmony and win-win scenario in the Green-economy Age.
