A Study Of Information Integration For Communication And Coordination Problems In EPC Project Management Model

EPC project contracting approach is currently the mainstream of domestic engineering company project management model, the number and size of large construction projects in China increasing with foreign companies and owners of foreign contacts and more and more opportunities for cooperation. These let us pay more attention to the importance of communication and coordination as an important part of project management. Asymmetry of communication in the EPC project will impact schedule, quality, cost, etc. An efficient information communication engineering company has become an important means to cope with market competition.In this study, large state-owned engineering firm S Corporation as a research object, following the adoption of the S's EPC project staff interviews with a number of important positions, after investigation, that the disorder of information communication and coordination is an important element of the worry to S's EPC project management, analytical out the importance of establishing information integration platform of the communication and coordination problems in EPC management model. At the same time, building a relatively complete information integration structure for communication and coordination by analysis of information flow in S's EPC project implementation process, and presenting information integration in the design stage of the modules.This study wished to adopt the studies of information integration for communication and coordination problems in EPC management model, promote to form an integrated communication and coordination of information model in engineering company, to improve the large state-owned engineering firm in the international market competitiveness.
