Under the promotion of globalization of economy and liberalization of international trade, the education service trade, which is an important part of international service trade, has become a significant content of economical growth and can bring huge economical benefits to a country. Therefore, the government of each country pays high attention and takes a series of measures to promote the development ofl education service trade.For quite a long time, the Chinese government treats education industry as public utility and ignores its economic effects, so the development of China's education service trade is very slow. Although China has taken some strong measures to support the development of education service industry and the academic community has made much research on education service trade, there is no specific study on the competitiveness of education service trade, still less specific comprehensive evaluation index system for estimating the competitiveness of education service trade. Therefore, this paper makes quantitative analysis of the competitiveness of China and developed countries in education service trade to obtain the competitive status of world in education service trade, so the competitiveness of China in education service Trade can be figured out and the gap between China and developed countries can be found. Finally, the author intends to identify the aspects to improve to promote the competitiveness of our country in education service trade.This paper is analyzed mainly from three aspects. Firstly, figure out the international market share, TC index and RCA index of China and developed countries with the import and export data from 2000 to 2007. Then compare the three indexes of china with those of developed countries to obtain the competitiveness of each country preliminarily. Then compare the three indexes of china with those of developed countries. In addition, choose the data of two specific years to make cluster analysis and get the competitive statues of each country's education service trade. Secondly, based on the Diamond Model, the author introduces Grey RelationTheory to build a comprehensive evaluation index system and estimate the competitiveness of education service trade with it. Thirdly, this paper analyzes the influence of each factor on China's education service trade through multivariate regression model.Finally, based on the factors which restrict the development of education service, the author puts forward some corresponding recommendations after the study above.
