At present, due to the impact of the financial tsunami, the shipbuilding industry goes into the adjustment phase, but with the recovery of the shipping industry, the future of the shipbuilding market will become increasingly intense. It is necessary to reform the concept of operations and change management methods for the strategic goal that in 2015 China will become the largest shipbuilding country. Modern shipbuilding mode requires supply chain management which is the advanced management theory.Shipbuilding production planning is a key element in shipbuilding engineering, in this paper shipbuilding supplier partners' choice project is presented according to the requirements of modern shipbuilding mode, the main content of production planning and shipbuilding engineering information are discussed. Both of the supply chain management theory and shipbuilding production planning theory are studied together. A shipbuilding engineering planning system is proposed based on the supply chain management.First of all, the modern shipbuilding supply chain is discussed. The supply chain management mode taking shipyard as the core enterprise and shipbuilding production processes for China, Japan & South Korea are analyzed in this paper.Secondly, the evaluation and selection for shipbuilding supplier are studied. A modeling method for the supplier selection is proposed based on a variety of advanced comparative analysis methods.What is more, production planning in the modern shipbuilding mode is discussed. The shortcomings of Manufacturing resource planning and Just in time are analyzed. A shipbuilding production planning overall model and mathematical model based on the supply chain are proposed, and it is solved by the application of genetic algorithms.Finally, the information of current shipbuilding engineering at home and abroad is analyzed. The computer integrated manufacturing system of a shipyard in Dalian and its advantages and disadvantages are analyzed.The above four aspects interact with each other to jointly constitute a shipbuilding engineering planning system based on supply chain. It has a theoretical and practical significance to improve the management level for Chinese shipbuilding industry.
