Research On Tourism Development Of Tianshui City Under The Background Of Guanzhong-Tianshui Economic Zone

Along with the development of economic globalization and the economic integration, regional economic cooperation has drawn general concern, and regional tourism cooperation has become inevitable in the development of tourism. Guanzhong-Tianshui Economic Zone is one of the three new Economic Zones which was proposed in The Eleventh Five-year Plan in western development, and tourism was one of the prior industries. An agreement on cooperation had reached which was proposed by the government of Tianshui. This article mainly discussed how to participate in the tourism cooperation under the background of Guanzhong-Tianshui Economic Zone. Related research on the tourism cooperation of Guanzhong-Tianshui Economic Zone hadn' t been found after consulting some domestic and international studies.Therefore, the results of this study can provide reference on participating in the tourism cooperation for Tianshui city and promoting the development of tourism economic. The following several parts were mainly included in this article:1 Based on the present situation of the tourism development of Tianshui city, the analysis showed that it was feasible and meaningful for Tianshui to participate in the tourism cooperation. In this process, growth pole theory, core-periphery theory , point-axis development theory and other economic growth theory were used.2 This article evaluated the characteristic of tourism resources and analyzed the quantity and quality of the tourism resources and scenic spots comparing with those of central shaanxi plain. Based on the assessment and analysis on the tourism resources, the author found that human tourism resources were the main tourism resources in both Tianshui city and central shaanxi plain, while the core tourist resources were distinctive. The result of analyzing the variance of tourism revenues of each city showed that Xi'an was the growth pole of the tourism in Guanzhong-Tianshui Economic Zone, and Baoji, Xianyang, Weinan, Tianshui and other cities in the zone were the secondary tourism city. The Spatial Pattern Evolution of the tourism development in the Economic Zone was analyzed using some Quantitative Analysis method, such as primacy index, geordie coefficient, core-periphery theory. The aggregation degree of Xi'an is higher in the tourism development in Guanzhong-Tianshui Economic Zone. The tourism spatial structure of the zone was imbalance and polarimetric, and it showed a gathering type. The gap of the tourism revenues between Xi' an and Surrounding Cities was becoming small gradually, so, Tianshui and other cities will be faced with better opportunities for development. 3 According to the sampling survey on the tourism market in 2007 and the statistical data of Tianshui tourism development situation in 2008, the structure of spatial and temporal distribution, consumption characteristics and the psychological behavior of tourists in Tianshui were analyzed using some method such as the time intensity index and graphic analysis. It could help provide certain reference for Tianshui city to develop the tourist market.4 Through the analysis of the tourism resources in Tianshui city and central shaanxi plain, the characteristic of tourism economic as well as the tourist market of Tianshui, the author had found the strengths, opportunities, weaknesses and weakness that the Tianshui tourism development faced. Then, the development model of warm tourist town under the background of the regional tourism cooperation was put forward such as the exterior superiority drive, the weak cooperation, the conformity bundle, non-barrier traveling construction and the internal actuation.5 By analyzing the resources and market, some strategies were proposed on the participation in the tourism market of central shaanxi plain for Tianshui. The following parts were mainly included: The tourism development of Tianshui would be driven by the Xi'an tourism market. The tourism resources would be integrated in economic region and the Tianshui City and rational integrated scheme would be designed. The core tourism products and tourist areas would be created in economic zone and the city. The exploitation and marketing of the tourist market would be strengthened to enhance the popularity and the influence of the tourism products. The management system of scenic spots would be standardized and so on.
