Research On Huizhong's Component Purchase Strategy And Supplier Selection

Against the backdrop of cut-throat market competition, confronted with the opportunities and challenges in the ever- changing automobile industry, Shanghai Huizhong Automotive Manufacturing Co., Ltd.(SHAC), as an enterprise specialized in manufacturing automobile parts, is facing the problems of selecting purchase strategies and suppliers. With the development goals and future positioning of SHAC's component business as its focus , strategic purchase tactics and supplier selection as its research object, the paper is intended to probe into the issue of supplier selction,propose relevant decision-making plans and set up modles based on analytic network process(ANP) analysis in case studies. Furthermore, this paper conducts a preliminary research on supplier selection and management in its dynamic changing process, which may serve as reference in supplier management in the future.The paper consists of the following:Firstly, the paper studies and analyzes SHAC's future development and positioning. The organic growth of SHAC and the potential development of OEMs both require SHAC should become a first-grade chassis module manufacturer.Secondly, for the needs of SHAC's future development and positioning, the paper classifies SHAC's existing suppliers and puts forward relevant strategic purchase tatics. On the basis of these purchase tactis, the paper also discusses the decision-making plans of supplier selection.Lastly, the paper, based on ANP analysis, sets up models on supplier selection and conducts relevant case studies. In this part, a preliminary research is made on supplier selection and management in its dynamic changing process.
