With competition in domestic and global market becoming fiercer and fiercer, anyenterprise desires to guide enterprise operation with agile, streamlined and competitiveprocess of high efficiency and flexibility. They count on such process to produceproducts of high quality to attract customer, to improve their competitive edge and tomaintain high profitability. During the development of advanced technology, enterpriseshave always been thinking about how to better their sourcing strategy and to improveenterprise efficiency. Through certain appropriate means, the gap between idealenterprise management and enterprise management in reality could be narrowed. Thereare some classic cases abroad of such successful experience for our reference. Accordingto the technology level and development target of enterprise W, this paper, under theguidance of supply positioning model, revisits its sourcing strategy to get rid of thosemethods inconsistent with reality and to re-design enterprise’s sourcing process and inthe end to improve enterprise’s efficiency.To an enterprise, the benefit of process reengineering may not show immediately.This paper discusses sourcing process reengineering and supply chain management inaccordance with the enterprise’s strategic goal. By investigating Enterprise W-manufacturing enterprise’s internal and external environment and the sourcing processreengineering issues they are faced with, this paper defines the objective of sourcingprocess reengineering and proposes a reengineering model based on supply positioningtheory and the industry characteristics and actual situation of the enterprise. This paperprimarily discusses how to establish a strategic alliance with suppliers and also furtheranalyzes the idea of sourcing process reengineering and finally builds the sourcingprocess. Through this way, core competitiveness of enterprise W gets improved and itsstrategic goals could finally be better realized.
