"Airborne CEO" is widespread concerned by business community nowadays, but the systematic theory on how the Airborne CEO manages the enterprise is rare. Studying the Airborne CEO's management strategies plays a significant role in the western theory development of CEO's change and Airborne CEO management practice. This thesis not only analyzes the cause of Airborne CEO, defines the Airborne phase, but also discusses the factors impacted in management strategy practice. Furthermore, it specifically describes three main management strategies, namely the strategic management, people management and situational management.The thesis can be divided into five parts. Firstly, Chapter I and II introduce the background, meaning, contents and methods of this article. Moreover, Airborne CEO's management theory is represented in this part. Secondly, it summarizes the cause of Airborne CEO and attempts to put forward the definition of Airborne phase. Thirdly, the factors impacted in management strategy practice are concluded in business and CEO's point of view. Fourthly, from V to VII, it presents the ways how Airborne CEO practise the strategy from strategic management, people management and situational management. Applying above theory, as the fifth part, Chapter VIII analyzes one of the typical Airborne cases: the management strategy and performance when Louis V. Gerstner worked in IBM.
