A Study On Leisure Behavior Of The Elderly And The Enlighenment To Leisure Supply

With a large population and as aging process speeds up, China is beginning to face the serious problem of aging society. Meanwhile, with the development of economy and improvement of living condition, taking care of the elderly is changing from physical to mental. Retirement leads to change the social role of the elderly and increase their leisure time. As a result, leisure becomes a main component in their daily life. In conclusion, high-quality leisure is very important to the elderly, and it has significant meaning to research the factors which influence the leisure behavior of the elderly.This study takes Hangzhou as an example to discuss the factors which influence the leisure behavior of old people. Through on-the-spot questionnaire survey and interview, this paper is to find out the profile of leisure about the elderly, explore and discuss factors influencing the elderly's leisure behavior, which includes internal and external factors. Internal factors include gender, age, home pattern, occupation, education and physical condition. These characteristics have different degree effect on people's leisure expenditure, leisure space, leisure time. Also, it will comprehensively effect on leisure demand.As we all know, leisure demand produced by the motive of the leisure needs can not always be satisfied. During the process of leisure needs to be met, leisure supply has played a role in filtering. When the leisure demand is in line with the community's supply, leisure needs will be achieved. But, when the demand exceeds the supply of leisure, leisure needs will be not met. At this time, the elderly will have dissatisfied emotion to the government, enterprises and communities.Based on the leisure needs of the elderly in Hangzhou, this paper gives relevant policy suggestions according to insufficient facilities and service provided by government, enterprises and communities. It will be helpful to consider and effectively satisfy the elderly's leisure demand during the process of social leisure supply. Raising the life quality of the elderly will conducive to social stability and harmonious society.
