With the fast economic development and urbanization, the difficulties of farmers'employment who lost their cultivated land become the big problem that concerns the economic development and social stableness, because lots of land is occupied. To solve the problem is the real action of building a well-off society in an all-round way and necessary to healthy urbanization development and construction of harmonious society.Through the investigation for the employment in two typical areas, it is shown that the rate of lost-land farmers'employment is higher and the farmers are wealthier when the government plays a positive role in promotion of those employments. It is in favor of solving the problems of small scale of agricultural production and fund shortage and increasing the employment rate, especially the elder farmers'employment, that the government actively inducts the development of modern agriculture.Difficulties of farmers'employment are the results of interaction of many factors. There are four external factors. First, policies to encourage employment are unsound and inadequate. Second, some employment information shows the localization characteristic, so territory becomes one of factors that influence the farmers'employment. Third, the level of development influences employment. The Industrial Structure is better, and there are more opportunities and different jobs in developed regions, so farmers can find job more easily. Final, the customs also affects the farmers'employment. Four internal factors that influence employment can be found. First, older farmers have lower education and work efficiency. The second is the behindhand idea. Peasants'dependence on the land leads to little plans for the future. Third, farmers'awareness of market is weak, and they are not ready for the competition of the modern society.Important inspirations can be found in the exploration of practices, recommendations and measures at home and abroad to solve the problem of lost-land farmers'employment. First, we should increase the compensation standard for land acquisition according to the market principle, properly increase the compensation price and show the principle of efficiency and equity. Second, compensation for land should be distributed properly. Third, different ways to compensate land should be chosen. Fourth, government plays a more important role in providing legal protection, improves and standardizes related institutions as soon as possible.Farmers'employment who lose their land is a complex social problem, and the solution of the employment problem relies on the systematic efforts of the whole society. First, the government should strengthen the institutional system construction, improve the examination and approval procedures and monitoring mechanisms, determine land ownership, and raise social security standards. The second is to promote employment by the collectivity. Through the reduction of the tax and other methods, government should promote the development of the collectively owned companies that can employ a large number of farmers, and encourage the development of the third industry and labor-intensive processing industries. Third, we should change concept of farmers'employment. Fourth, it is necessary to take measures to establish an information network to speed up the delivery of market information, in order to broaden the employment channels. Fifth, the government should support farmers'training. According to different age, education, and the market demand for farmers, the government should provide professional vocational training to meet the business requirements.
