Study On Typical Cases Of Agro-industrialization In Shanghai Suburb

It is necessary to conduct commercialized management study on agro-industrialization to meet the need of modern agriculture development. It is meaningful to explore the theory and practice of agro-industrialization through case study.The contents of study include: (1) to describe the concepts, connotations, characteristics and routes of agro-industrialization; (2) to introduce the updated information into agro-industrialization in Nanhui district and conduct a survey; (3) to introduce the experience into agro-industrialization in Nanhui district; (4) to propose countermeasures for the promotion of agro-industrialization.In the socialist market economy, we can increase the labor productivity of agriculture, commodity rate of agricultural products and the farmers'income by improving agricultural enterprise management. There are some characteristics as follows: (1) to promote the modernization of traditional agriculture; (2) farm owners will become the managers of agricultural enterprises gradually; (3) agricultural production will be more and more specialized; (4) to establish an organic economic system featuring the coordinated management of production, supply and sale.The survey methods combine questionnaire and field interview. Basic information such as farmers'perceptions, the development and operation situation of specialized cooperatives etc. will be gathered from farmers of agricultural cooperatives, other farmers and managers of the enterprises.According to the investigation of Xiang Xin Poultry Company Limited, the main success includes: (1) to develop the rural cooperation organization and link household small production with the ever changing markets; (2) to increase the brand consciousness and win the market shares and profits; (3) to enhance farmers'job skills and quality and improve their capabilities of finding employment and adapting to job changes; (4) to realize the standardized management and establish the special management system which is particularly suited to the poultry; (5) to further promote quality services, particularly with technical services at the core; (6) through further improving the cooperation between enterprise and farmers, most farmers can enhance their income and technical skills. But many problems are still pressing for solution in management, e.g. how to increase technical innovation ability, how to open more channels to raise funds for enterprise, how to further enhance communication between enterprise and farmers, etc.The main conclusions of the study are as follows: (1) commercialized management of agro-industrialization is the best way to realize agricultural modernization; (2) suburb agriculture is a breakthrough to realize agro-industrialization; (3) agricultural enterprises and farmers'cooperative organization are the main forces to realize agro-industrialization.The suggestions of the study are as follows: (1) promote effective ways to improve agro-industrialization; (2) cultivate advantaged environment for the development of agro-industrialization; (3) establish multi-channel investment system; (4) foster a group of agricultural entrepreneurs; (5) further improve the marketing system; (6) transfer the surplus rural labor force to realize concentrated land operation; (7) create a good outside environment and strengthen internal management for agricultural enterprises; (8) improve management of farmers'cooperatives according to the law.
