In recent years, as with the fast development of agro-economy and agricultural producetrade, agro-exhibition industry shows a fast developing trend. This article takes Laiwu, anagricultural city with the regional advantage and the industrial advantage to develop theagro-exhibition industry, which lies at the bottom end of agro-exhibition development, as aresearch representative, to study its development road of the agro-exhibition industry. As foramplifying the industry potential and advantage of the medium and minor cities, this articlepossesses concept study value and reality significance.This article begins with the analysis of the basic problems; at first discover some regularknowledge by the means of the systematical description, analysis and summarization onagro-exhibition economy; then utilize industry analytical SWOT model to analyze the currentsituations of Laiwu agro-exhibition in details, based on the summarizing the regularity andcombining the reality, suggest new approach and response to the problems during theagro-exhibition economy development so as to deal with existing matters in development.Through the study, we conclude Laiwu is insufficient of development conditions in theagro-exhibition, while some objective factors offset some unfavorable conditions. Forexample, although it is seated in the five tier cities, Laiwu can directly embrace radiation ofthe provincial capital–Jinan due to the Shandong-center regional advantage and has threetier cities’ development conditions; although there is neither management agency nor whollymarket operational economy condition, nor city open condition, the management andoperation by the institution directly under government compensates the unfavorable effects ofmanagement system to some degree; although infrastructure and supporting industries are notin keeping with the agro-exhibition development, the excellent pavilion service ability andmarketing capabilities dissolve the inharmonious to concern degree; although agricultural scale is small, outstanding advantageous leading industry and leadershiphighly-concernedness make agro-exhibition industry fast development come true. This showsthat tackling the four critical parts: advantage, disadvantage, opportunity and challengeexisting in industry development is the inevitable way of doing well in the agro-exhibitionindustry. There are four main tasks: One is to make the best of the city advantage, improveinfrastructural facilities, exhibition staff, exhibition enterprise and other exhibitiondevelopment conditions, create the conditions for the start of agro-exhibition industry; Two isto analyze the disadvantage in development, change disadvantage into advantage, improveand perfect support policy, comprehensive supporting, brand exhibition and othervalue-added conditions, create the conditions for the development of agro-exhibition industry;Three is to thoroughly grasp development opportunity, strongly hold the opportunity,implement differentiation development strategy, elongate agro-exhibition industry chain,expand exhibition themes, develop diversified professional exhibitions, large-scalecomprehensive exhibition and high-level foreign exhibitions, lead agro-exhibition industry tothe correct way of development; Four is to face challenge, brave difficulties, turn negative toa favorable, turn crisis into opportunity, seek government support in policy, capital, industryplanning and so on, inject vitality and dynamic into agro-exhibition industry development.
