With the ending to the three years of protection committed by our country when entering WTO,China's retail markets are fully open to the outside world.Meanwhile, the foreign retail groups have been transformed from the original experiment to the current strategic expansion stage.The domestic retail trade has to compete with the international retail groups,which has brought the retail trade into severe competition.In this heated competition,the chain retail trade has been increasingly developed in scale. However,the increase of its economic benefits can not catch up with that of its scale. For this lagging,one of the most important reasons lies in their in formalization management rather than their commodities.The modern retails are no longer the pure traditional businesses.To some extent,they have become a new high-tech business in which in formalization has become an important strategy for the competition among the retail sales in market.The whole sophisticated management supported by the information technology is one of the main approaches to improving the competitive force of the retail trade and is also the key reason for its existence and development.Although more than 80%Chinese retail businesses in recent years have more or less adopted the device of in formalization management,only a few of the one-hundred top enterprises have gained dramastic achievements through this management.A multitude of retail enterprises ignore this kind of management.Some enterprises are even misled.They seem to adopt this advanced information system in management, but they have never exerted the effects of informalization management to its full play. Thus,they have no way to improve the core competiveness of the retail trade. Therefore,according to this situation,analysis and research must have been taken.This thesis first introduces the basic theory,core technology and the importance of the informationization management of the chain retails.Then,on the basis of the research on the present state of the informationization management adopted by the chain retail enterprises in china,this paper analyses the general level of the domestic informationization management,the achieved results and the existing problems.It also compares the gap of informationization management between domestic and foreign retail enterprises,finding that the foreign retails have put sums of capital into the establishment of the informationization and have achieved striking effects,and pointing out that with the advent of the small profits from the retails,it is of great necessity for the chain retail enterprises in China to strengthen their informationization management.In order to more clearly and immediately analyses how the chain retail enterprises in China can be more efficient in informationization management in this special management environment,this thesis makes a case study on the successful informationization establishment of Lianhua supermarket,one domestic chain retail enterprise.Finally,in view of the problems existing in our domestic chain retail enterprises and in accordance with our particular business environment,these retails should make innovations through learning and modeling the advanced informationization practices of foreign chain retail businesses.At the same time,this thesis points out that to solve the existing problems in the construction of informationization,the chain retail enterprises in China should focus on the starting point in the course of informationization establishment,the basic constructions of soft wares and hard wares especially the cultivation of talents,concepts transformation and management strategies.By doing so,the informationization management of Chinese chain retail enterprises can be really improved in level,exerted in effiency and strengthened in their core competiveness,so that they can find their places in the competition with their foreign counterparts.
