| The operation conceptions and operating mode of foreign chain industry are already quite mature, and their logistics and distribution means play the very important roles. By its excellent logistics and distribution capacity, Wal-Mart topped the Global 500 Enterprises in "Fortune" magazine in these years. With the constantly improvement of its distribution ability and distribution technology, the Wal-Mart has more and more competitive advantage. By analyzing the key success factors of Wal-Mart's distribution system and operation experience, our chain enterprises can get useful reference from it.Based on the development background of Wal-Mart, this thesis consists of four parts. The first part makes an analysis on the Wal-Mart and its global development of logistics and distribution, summaries the theories study of scholars at home and abroad, and then points out the research purpose and significance. The second part analyses current situation of Wal-Mart's distribution system, and emphases on its four advantages of distribution system, including the high efficient distribution center, positioning satellite distribution, rapid distribution process, and advanced distribution technologies. The third part makes a deep analysis on the problems and causes in Wal-Mart's distribution system, emphases the factors that restrict Wal-Mart's rapid development in China: hard to lower the cost of logistics system, difficult to get the efficiency of distribution mode, and no advantage from information systems. Finally, based on above analysis, the author puts forward four improvement measures: extending the building of new distribution centers by the development of business, accelerating logistics outsourcing to strengthen the core business, diversifying distribution mode to enhance the efficiency of logistics system, and perfecting the information support systems to accelerate the customers'quick response. |
