A Survey For The Competency In Front-line Staff Of Qinshan Nuclear Power Enterprise

Competency was a managerial concept appeared in America at the very beginning of 1970s. Its specific connotation refers to any individual characters which can distinguish the high performance employees from the ordinary ones, such as idiosyncracy, motivation, self-concept, attitude, values, knowledge, as well as technologies etc. This concept has been studied and applied extensively in sociology, management, psychology, especially the human resource management field. However, there are few researches about the Front-line staff of Nuclear Power Enterprise in China. Because of this, the research about the Front-line staff of Nuclear Power Enterprise indicates the very important theoretical and practical meaning.This text used the Front-line staff of Qinshan Nuclear Power Enterprise as subjects, carried out Behavioral Event Interview on them, applied the international competency dictionary, coded and statisticed, at last, concluded 7 terms of core competency for the Front-line staff of Nuclear Power Enterprise.Based on the competency through the quantity analysis of the BEI data, we made The Survey Qustionnaire for the Front-line staff of Qinshan Nuclear Power Enterprise, which will support a valid appraisal instrument.We concluded this research as follows:(1) The competency model of the Front-line staff of Qinshan Nuclear Power Enterprise contains the responsibility conscious, interpersonal impact, learning and innovation, planning and coordination, self-efficacy, achievement orientation, and diligency.(2) The average scores used in interview data coding and analyzing were provided with preferable stability, not so as the frequency stability. (3) The two appraisers are consistent with each other when assessing the different competency.(4) The reliability and validity of the Survey Qustionnaire for the Front-line staff of Qinshan Nuclear Power Enterprise are both upper.
