The biggest challenge business managers face now is how to appraise the staff's capability, inspire their potential and give scope for their ability .The scientific theories about performance evaluation are quite complete now .However, it is not the ultimate goals of business enterprises. What business enterprises really expect is the efficiency of the practice of performance evaluation. Just as renowned master of management Peter. Drukker has mentioned in Management Practice: "Performance is the ultimate standard to evaluate the efficiency of management. Management, in other words, is a practice, but not a discipline or major though it has some same elements with both of them." Therefore, integrated with the real conditions of the industries and enterprises, it is necessary to practice and explore the work of performance evaluation and constantly improve the performance appraisal system .Only in this way could the efficiency of stuff's performance be enhanced and the business performance be further improved.This paper is based on the conditions of a municipal power supply enterprise affiliated with State Grid Corporation of -WH power supply company. Closely centering on the theme of the front -line workers' performance evaluation , some proposals are put forward for improving the performance evaluation of front-line staff in WH power supply company by analyzing the current situation and existing problems about performance evaluation of front-line staff and applying the basic knowledge of performance evaluation .This paper also explains the necessity and the feasibility of the improvement of performance evaluation programmers ,and makes a generous assessment and full reflection of the possible problems and solutions when the programmers are carrying out. Finally, this paper gives a brief introduction to the improved proposals, with a hope to benefit and offer a reference to other human resources managers of power supply enterprises.
