Analysis On Leisure Consumption Of Shanxi City Residents

Currently, as the view of "humanist" striking root in the hearts of people, the leisure and leisure consumption are playing the vital role in society's overall development .With the rapid development of market economy and the standard of living, the demand on leisure consumption gradually rises, and the leisure industry becomes more and more important in the national economy .Especially, The Hang Zhou world leisure fair in 2006, The Beijing Olympic Games in 2008 and the Shanghai world fair in 2010, will bring the unprecedented development opportunities to our leisure industry. Leisure consumption is becoming a new engine of economic growth in our country.There are glorious historical origin, unique geographical environment and gorgeous leisure resources in Shanxi. Nowadays, with the arrival of the leisure age, many city residents who have much income and much leisure time than ever on the San-Jin earth, come to emphasis on the improvement of life quality. However, the development of leisure industry in Shanxi Province cannot satisfy both the people's need and economical progress. The theoretical research of leisure economy, especially the research of leisure consumption, is so far from the development reality of leisure industry. Furthermore, there aren't correlated theories to instruct leisure consumption to city residents. Therefore, it is urgent to strengthen the theoretical research of city residents in Shanxi province, not only to speed up the leisure industry, transform the economic growth way, optimize the survival environment , promote the national economy fast growth ,but also to promote individual and social overall development , realize the"scientific development view".The paper consists of five chapters as follows: in chapter 1, with a literature review on the research writings of scholars from both home and abroad, the author summarizes the research results of leisure and leisure consumption of the western developed country and China, and also points that the leisure consumption has already become the important constituent in the lives of the city residents. In chapter 2, the author elaborates related theories of leisure consumption, gives the definition of leisure consumption. On the basis of the economic analyses , in chapter 3, the author summarizes the factors of leisure consumption of Shanxi city residents. In chapter 4, the author analyzes the present questions to leisure consumption of Shanxi city residents, and finally, brings forward the corresponding suggestions to promote the leisure consumption in Shanxi in chapter 5.
