The interaction between port and city economy has always been a hot spot issue in academics.However,it's far inadequate to study merely the contribution of ports for the city economy.Along with the development of ports themselves,a large amount of nonrenewable resources like coastline of city,lands for city construction purpose or even farmland would be occupied and the environment around city be polluted to different extent.All these adverse factors above will not only restrain port's development,but bring some negative impact on other aspects of the city as well.Hence, as resources consumption and environmental protection has become bottleneck of economic booming nowadays,it is of great vitality to fully assess comprehensive effects of economic growth,resources consumption and environmental protection.The thesis firstly focuses on the analysis of development mechanism of port-city interaction and dialectical studies of port industry's driving effect on city economy,and then analyzes negative influence caused by occupation of resources including land, traffic etc.and environmental pollution.On the other hand,the thesis discusses both promoting and conditioning effects of city to ports and analyzes numerical relationship between port economic activities and city resources consumption,environmental influence.Then guided by systems theory,the thesis illustrates general structure of system dynamics model for port-city interactive development,divides the port-city system into four subsystems as economic subsystem,port subsystem,port-surrounding industry subsystem and ecological environment subsystem and meanwhile analyzes structures and cause-effect relationship of the aforesaid subsystems,and finally constructs a general system dynamics model.The model not only takes factors of economic influence into consideration,but also introduces factors like environmental pollution,resources consumption etc.with innovation,which enables the system conforms to more requirements in actual condition.At the end of the thesis,taking Shanghai Municipality as a case for study,the author attempts to analyze development status of Shanghai for the next few years,simulates its port-city interactive development conditions exposed by three factors including industrial structure adjustment,port investment growth,energy-saving and emission-cutting with policy analysis tool of system dynamics.The result derived demonstrates that the model of system dynamics established in this thesis is able to fully and objectively assess the relationship between port and city,as a result of which,it can serve as a reference or guidance for studies in this connection.
