A Study On The Relationship Between Economic Growth And Environmental Pollution In Resource - Based Cities Along The Yellow

In recent years, the economic growth has been at top speed, increasing environmental pollution, the coordination of environmental and economic problems has risen to a strategic problem, and international scholars have set off a revolution of the mechanism of interaction. Since 1960s, the international scholars have studied relations between the economic growth and environmental pollution, and they put forward some important points, for example they put forward "global change research" and the sustainable development question in 1980s, but most of these points are macroscopically around the world, it mainly based on qualitative research, while quantitative research and regional study were less. After 1980s, with the addition of a large amount of environmental data and the in-depth study, the pollution of the environment is introduced into the production function, it was a prelude to a quantitative study on the relationship between economic growth and environmental pollution, the study area has been gradually from large scale to small scale. And environmental indicators will be the introduction of Kuznets curve, through Latin America and some developed countries with large amounts of data to prove the reverse U-shaped curve relationship exists between them, which will study the relationship between the advancing a new mileage.Resource-based cities in areas along the yellow river of Ningxia and Inner Mongolia autonomous region is the origin of energy and raw materials of China, is the guarantee of countries implement the strategy of energy and resources and occupies an important position in China’s microeconomic layout, it is expected to become the strategic of China’s East and West, and the support of the western development. However, since long time, in order to pursue economic benefits brought by industrialization, some people’s extensive mining process and plunder on the local resources have destroyed local structure of resources, the waste of resources is shocking, and such behavior is the local exploitation resources decreasing, slow urban industrialization, hinder the sustainable development of economy. How to correctly face and positive treatment of main contradiction now faced by the city, coordinate the relation between economic development and environmental pollution; How to know the successful transformation, lead to a suitable for the local characteristics of the road of sustainable development, is the great challenge of areas along the yellow river of Ningxia and Inner Mongolia autonomous region.First, this paper has analyzed economic growth and environmental pollution in areas along the yellow river of Ningxia and Inner Mongolia autonomous regio n detailed, and found though they have made some achievements, but they are i n rapid economic growth, the extensive mode of growth, sustainable developmen t problem and the large gap between the cities in this region. The comprehensive situation of ecological environment is poor, and the excessive emission of major pollution from industrial enterprises, leading to the pollution of water and atmosp heric environment is increasing, making the city on a serious water shortage. As the shortage of the water, it is restricting the further development of industry. I n this paper, based on curve fitting between GDP per capita and industrial pollut ion, and established Environment Kuznets Curve mode of areas along the yellow river of Ningxia and Inner Mongolia autonomous region, as well as the resourc e-based cities made a detailed analysis of the relationship between economic gro wth and environmental pollution, research shows that:One is the environment po llution of resource-based cities of areas along the yellow river of Ningxia and In ner Mongolia autonomous region is serious, most of the emissions in the study period increased show along with the growth of GDP per capita in increased en vironmental damage in; Second, the cities in areas along the yellow river of Nin gxia and Inner Mongolia autonomous region is in the middle stage of industriali zation, and development is still the primary task. If it is not increased administrati ve strength, pollution continues to increase more likely. Ningxia and Inner Mongo lia along the yellow river is still to take the old way of development of governa nce, subsequent development should coordinate the relationship between the two, s o emissions reached a turning point as soon as possible; Third, the industrial sol id waste emissions, industrial emissions is the main pollution in this area, among industrial COD emissions while occasionally rise, but overall a downward trend. According to the analysis, we found areas along the yellow river of Ningxia and Inner Mongolia environmental growth during the study period was scheduled befor e the turning point, even in the continue to rise. Finally we discussed many aspe cts of the reasons for this phenomenon, and put forward some countermeasures, ho ping to provide a strong basis for the feasibility of the transformation of Shizuisha n, Wuhai, Baotou, and Erdos.
