The WTO has anticipated China will be the greatest tourism destination and the fourth tourist output country in the world. As a result, China's tourism industry has a broad future. Meanwhile, China's tourism industry has more and more competition with other countries. China's tourism industry should ram the basis and enhance the competitive power in order to develop better and faster. But the key is the talent competition and the nation's creativity competition .Education is the base of fostering talents and increasing the nation's creativity. Tourism education should be improved constantly as the composing of higher education and the base of tourism development.Education is the activity of value chasing and realizing, which is inspired by the philosophy thoughts. We can say no education without value guide exists, so any education instructor should self-consciously realize and correctitude the philosophy of education, and try his best to harmonize the thought and actions. Post-modernism is a new culture popular in Europe and the USA in 1950's, which aimed to destroy the traditional close ,simple and rigid thinking mode ,and it influenced many ideology including education. Post-modernism education theory has developed according to the post-modernism philosophy. Post-modernism is very sophisticated, but the active and constructive parts of it promote the education development.China's tourism education has developed with the development of tourism industry after the reforming and opening-up. The researchers of tourism education pay more attention to the experience instead of the theory guidance. So it is an urgent problem to probe a new developing way of tourism education in the new situation. Post-modernism has innovation in teaching aims, course designing and the teacher-student relationship, and to some level it stimulates the current tourism education and course research .We should put the reasonable pats of post-modernism into the tourism education so as to get the inspirationThe article analyses the post-modernism influence on tourism education after discussing the post-modernism philosophy, its education ideas and course ideas, and analyses teaching pattern of China's tourism education and developing countermeasures. The article is made up of six parts. Part One introduces the research background ,the research foundation ,the research value and the research measure; Part Two analyzes the post-modernism philosophy; Part Three analyzes the modern teaching theories influenced by the post-modernism; Part Four presents the teaching pattern of tourism education in the view of the post-modernism ,that is the student-centre and the multi-culture teaching pattern ; Part Five discusses the countermeasure of tourism education; Part Six summarizes the views and short comings of the article, and present the problems to be solved.The article presents the views of tourism education development in the opinion of post-modernism, which is valuable to China's tourism education reform.
