| Comparing with the overseas software industry, China software industry start late and are mainly characterized with small and medium-sized software enterprises. However, the significant meaning of the development of our software industry which affects our State's economical development and the frantic competition from abroad request us to strengthen our software industry urgently and to expedite the conversion of the small and medium-sized software enterprises into big enterprises. Although Chongqing software industry started in the same period as the China software industry and achieved a lot in respect of financial software, it has stopped developing and lost its original status in China software industry since then. Chongqing software market is also mainly occupied by small and medium-sized software enterprises and they are encountering the bottle neck of technique, talents and capital etc. How to help Chongqing enterprises grow rapidly and take party in the international competition and how to raise its international status have become major topics.Based on the careful investigation on the Chongqing main software enterprises this dissertation will use strategic management, relevant economical theories, analytical method as well as the tools to systematically research Chongqing software enterprises.Firstly, this dissertation conducts the analysis on the whole environment faced by Chongqing software enterprises, general environment and industrial environment. The PEST method is applied to analyze the general environment. In analysis of industrial environment, the industrial demand has been analyzed firstly and then Poter's five power method to analyze current competitors, potential entrants, substitutes, purchaser and suppliers. Through the analysis on the whole environment we conclude that the general environment such as the China rapid economical development and government's polices support is a great advantage for the development of Chongqing software enterprises, nevertheless it is not optimistic toward the industrial environment faced by Chongqing software enterprises due to such characters as immature market and easy entry. After analyzing the strength and weakness of Chongqing enterprises, the SWOT method has been used to dig out the strategic direction for the future development of Chongqing enterprises. Strength: certain resource and cost advantage. Weakness: short of high qualified talents, high level of dispersion, lack of core technical and capability, unclear and wrong strategic direction, unsmooth financial channels, etc. Strategic choices: variance strategy, cost strategy, brand-building strategy, alliance strategy.By careful investigation on the Chongqing software enterprises on their good development way we discuss how to solve the technique, talent and capital problems during each stage of strategic development, which block the development of software enterprises, and raise a series of strategies and tactics as well. |
