Study On Selection And Evaluation Of Chongqing Industrial Poles Of Growth

The theory of the pole of growth is an important theory of the theories of imbalanced growth, and directs the growth of economy for developing countries or regions. At the beginning of reforming, implemented developmental strategy of two steps shows the imbalanced strategy of development. In our country, tree economic poles of growth have been established in the Yangtze River Delta area, Pearl River Delta area and Bohai Rim Region by the thought the imbalanced development and the theory of pole of growth.As the fourth municipality, Chongqing gets rapid development from the beginning of establishment to now, but the development is not better than that of other tree municipalities. Chongqing is the only municipality in the West Regions and a region with metropolis bringing countries, whose important significances are not only that Chongqing drives other regions around but also that the development from Chongqing gives directions for building a well-off society comprehensively. But economic development bases on the development of industries, it is impossible to give same investments and helps for all the industries under lack of resources and capitals. The only ways is to chose industrial poles of growth and drive other industries developing, and at last bring about economy development. After that, Chongqing will become a regional pole of growth of economy. This paper is to research the selection and evaluation of industrial poles of growth in Chongqing, and that will enrich the theory of pole of growth and offer some proofs for making progresses in some aspects for important industries. After that, give an analysis on the comprehensive indexes and evaluate industries, and select some industries as industrial poles of growth.Chapter 5 researched the industries selected about location entropy, cost advantage, and technology rebuilding, and analyzed the gap with other municipality.Chapter 6 given some policy advices for industrial development and industrial located. And summed up the main research results of the whole paper and brought forward the researches on the next step.
