The Study Of Influence Factors And Process Of Airport Industrial Cluster Formation

Airport industry is a new concept in the classification of industrial cluster. Whether airport industry shows a certain level of agglomeration? If there is, what factors cause the airport industry agglomerated? What's the process of its agglomeration? The purpose of this paper is to conduct research on these issues. Airport industry is the object of this paper, mainly using the theories and research methods of industrial economics, regional economics to study the factors and the process of the agglomeration of airport industry.Firstly, this paper studies the representative research achievements. Secondly on the base of related theories of airport industry, analyzes those factors influencing the agglomeration of airport industrial clusters such as government policy, the development of airport, economic level of the region, locating of business, technical progress and so on. Then analyzes the process of the airport industry agglomeration and builds a dynamic develop model, dividing the process by four parts: initial period, formative period, development period and mature period. And through the case study of airport industrial cluster of Beijing Shunyi airport economic zone, collect mass data to analyze the agglomeration level and formation mechanism. Then the fifth chapter states the conclusion of this paper:(1)The degree of airport industry agglomeration in China is increasing stronger.Airport industries started earlier in Beijing than any other cities, airport industry has formed a fairly large scale. Therefore it is representative to study on the capital airport. By measuring the aggregation degree of Beijing airport industries, not only using the concentration coefficient method but also using the location entropy method, we can draw a conclusion that the degree of airport industry agglomeration in Beijing is increasing stronger.(2) There are many factors influencing airport industries.Some of the factors which cause the formation of airport industry agglomeration are the same as the factors causing other industry clusters agglomerated. But others are different. Though the analysis of this paper, we know that the development of airport, regional economics, locating of business, technical progress, government policy and relevant supportive institutions all have influence on the formation of airport industry cluster. But because of the characteristic of different industries, the factors influencing the formation of airport industry cluster are different.
