As one of the typical knowledge economical industry, the software industry has not so much difference with the traditional industries. However, as for the weight and order of the resources in the software industry, it is quite different. The elements for maintaining a software company includes R&D, Marketing and Sales, Support and Service, interior management, one of the most significant is R&D, which determines the importance of the HR management as well as the performance appraisals which is one part of HRM. This paper, a typical case study in the business administration, is concentrating on D Co in Dalian by analyzing the knowledge based companies and their HRM and performance appraisal.The essay can be divided into four parts. The first one is introduction which presents the meaningfulness of the research as well as the purpose, methodology. The second part is the case presentation which includes the detailed description of the D Co. and the analysis of its social and economical environment in the aspect of IT industry. The third part is case analysis which is composed by two components - the theoretical study and case-level study, the former focuses on the concepts of performance, performance management, motivation and approaches of PA, while the latter concentrates on the problems of personal value respect in the software industrialization, team and individual performance appraisal and player's motivation. The last part is conclusion and suggestions which points to the problems advanced in the 2nd and 3rd parts. |
