Research On Project Management Of Exhibit Design For Guangdong Science Center

With the development of science and industry, exhibition industry is rising which provides great chance for industrial design. However, exhibition industry is still immature and design management is a new subject. So how to combine design and management successfully and effectively is an important problem for design company and organization.This paper based on the project of exhibition design for Guangdong Science and Technology Center. Firstly some correlative theory about design management and project management was introduced and basic meaning of project management for exhibition design was discussed. Following, the establishment and operation of project organization of exhibition design was expounded. Then, the process of exhibition design and life cycle of project were compared and the life cycle model of project management of exhibition design was established. Finally, the plan of project management of exhibition design based on life cycle theory was stressed which combined with practical example.It adopted compositive methods of literature investigation, work summarization, analysis and compare and case study with the guidance of theory of design management and project management. It was the result of my thought on the method of project management of exhibition design integrated with practical management experience in the project of exhibition design for Guangdong Science and Technology Center.In sum, the paper studied on the application of design management and project management in the project of exhibition design. And it summarized a project management way of exhibition design which provided directly reference for project management of exhibition design and was useful in project management of environmental design and product design.
