Research On The Application Six Sigma Management

Six Sigma is a popular and scientific management pattern in foreign countries,all manufacturing enterprises of the Global Fortune 500 almost have implemented Six Sigma management gradually.In 1995,GE began to fully promote the application of Six Sigma.That helped GE make 2.5 billion U.S.dollars' revenue.Alter China being a member of WTO, China's enterprises are facing a global competition,learning from advanced foreign management pattern has been inevitable.This thesis studies the application and the purposes of Six Sigma.For the application of Six Sigma,it explains when enterprises should introduce Six Sigma.It also demonstrates the main existing problems of Six Sigma and the solutions to solve them.The thesis combines theoretical research with empirical research,which includes text analysis,comparative analysis and case analysis.It concludes:1.When introducing Six Sigma,the domestic enterprises should first get the ISO Certification,and implement process management well.2.The main problems of Six Sigma are:(1) Six Sigma management method is restricted by the corporate strategy;(2) Six Sigma management method is over count on the data.(3) It need a long period to execute the Six Sigma management methodThis thesis also studies the main problems and solutions of the application of Six Sigma in domestic enterprises.It provides some new suggestions of using Six Sigma in domestic enterprises,which is of a certain value,combining theory with practice.
