As the most complicated manufacturing system recognized world-wide , the semiconductor wafer fabrication system features (large number of tool groups,long production cycle-time…and so on) is largely different from the tradition production mode. The dispatching and optimization of the semiconductor wafer fabrication system has attracted huge attention from researchers and scientists in both academic and practice arenas,for this age sees increasingly heated competition in the high-investment high-profit and high-risk semiconductor manufacturing industry. So it is very important for the production management in semiconductor manufacturing domain.Because of the complicate process and equipment, high randomness, product reentry nature of a semiconductor production line, this paper mainly researches semiconductor wafer dispatching and optimization and lean production, also combined author's more than 10 years working experiences in semiconductor manufacturing management filed, establish the model of semiconductor wafer dispatching and optimization system in the lean production circumstance, also give out samples on existing system. PartⅠ, the paper summarizes the field and method of the current research situation on semiconductor production line; PartⅡ, the paper narrates semiconductor wafer start material control and in line dispatching. PartⅢ, the paper narrates the lean production theory, and put forward the semiconductor wafer dispatching and optimization in the lean production circumstance. PartⅣ, the paper use SMIC(Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation) production line as really samples, demonstrate how the semiconductor wafer dispatching and optimization model can work in production line to help cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
