Research On The Application Of The Theory Of Lean Supply Chain In Chinese Rag Trade

As management methods, Lean Production and Supply Chain Management arecommonly used in modern enterprise. In today's fierce market competitionenvironment, the rules of competition between enterprises make a fundamentalchange, combine Lean Production with supply chain management to form Leansupply chain will become an important means which companies maintain theircompetitive edge. Lean supply chain is to use Lean thinking and analysis and ideas tosolve the problem of waste of all aspects of enterprises'supply chain, and of reducingthe entire supply chain costs, so as to enhance the production supply chain efficiencyand effect.This article draws on the past few years'major domestic and foreign literature,research results and the survey data of how to implement lean supply chain, andstudies the theory and methods of Lean supply chain. The article first introduced theconcepts of Lean Production and supply chain management, further through theanalysis of the disadvantages which come from the uses of the two methods in today'sbusiness management finds the significance of combine them to form Lean supplychain. Then researches present situation and problems of Chinese rag trade and selectsTianjin MQL as an object, analyses the process and the results of the implementationof Lean supply chain. Therefor, the author went to MQL and formed Reform group inSeptember 2006. During a few months'implementation process, Reform group hasdone some work for example renew facility layout, 5S site management, reduce thework in process, optimize the prenatal process and so on, eventuallymade satisfactoryresults: costs fell, monopolized capital decreased, the efficiency of supply chainincreased. Therefore, Reform group concluded that business if we really want toachieve Lean supply chain, it is necessary to improve every link of the whole supplychain.This paper puts forward innovatory method of quasi-continuous project of leanimprovement and enriches the AHP theory. The results of the paper improves the leansupply chain theoretical system and promots the transformation of the concepts ofenterprise management sections and the establishment of lean supply chain systemwhich accords with the market economy requirements, and it is propitious to the reform and development of Chinese rag enterprises. It has significance meaning toestablish a new management mechanism and high-quality management team, and topromote the development of our rag enterprises healthilyand stably.
