The MLCC (Multi-Layer Ceramic Capacitor) is widely used into portable electronic product. Nowadays, with rapid development in electronic information industry, drastic competition in MLCC production happened, quality improvement must be done by manufacture enterprise by decreasing defect parts, cutting down the cost and increasing the profits. In this article, base on six-sigma management theory and method, with S company, a sample of MLCC manufacture, the problem of MLCC profit is successfully solved by six-sigma application. Here, scientific project definition is made by six-sigma DMAIC process, problem and object is identified, project measure and data collection based on the process analysis are defined.According to precise data analysis, we find the root factor impacting MLCC profit, and take related improvement measure, solidify the improvement result, and set up the control solution. Many tools of six-sigma are practiced in this article to increase MLCC profit such as cause and effect matrix, process FMEA, repeatability and reproducibility analysis of measure system, process capacity analysis and so on.This article shows practical value by combining the qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis, comprehensively applying the content and method of the Statistics, Industry Engineer and so on, and using the explaining and analyzing tools such as chart and graph. I hope this article can be referred by those corporations which prepare to use the 6-sigma.
