Six Sigma is a developing methodology of process improvement on the base of total quality management. As an effective method to reduce defects and improve product quality, Six Sigma methodology has been well developed through the practice and implemented globally to improve the quality. As an oversea corporation, STX Corporation WX Branch also imported Six Sigma methodology of process improvement. It is important to maximize the Six Sigma methodology effects. This paper is to analyze the feature of manufacturing of Wuxi branch and research a reasonable roadmap to implement Six Sigma methodology.Firstly the paper reviewed the domestic and global researches of Six Sigma methodology. It specified the basic theory of Six Sigma methodology and fundamental methods and steps of Six Sigma operations. It introduced the Six Sigma DMAIC methodology and Design for Six Sigma methodology. It focused on DMAIC methodology and introduced each phase and the operational tools and steps. It specified the important meanings of statistic process control(SPC). It focused on the selection of control charts, definition of control limits and control rules as well as their impacts to production.Secondly, the paper made an analysis of Six Sigma projects in Wuxi Branch and listed the major problems of Six Sigma activities in WX Branch as well as the impact of problems to Six Sigma goals. Based on quality feature of electrical products, the paper proposed the idea of ‘Six Sigma methodology drove by SPC’ and specified the feasibility of the idea. Considering the products features and processes, it created the roadmap of ‘Six Sigma methodology drove by SPC’ and proposed the framework of problem resolutions and methods to ‘reduce variance firstly, improve mean secondly’. It proposed new operational methods for weakness of current methods. It picked new statistical tools and added into the framework. Finally it made up a new evaluation system.Finally, ‘Six Sigma methodology drove by SPC’ was implemented in the launch of new production to analyze the problem of weak output of HSA current and propose the resolutions for KPIVs. The new methodology identified the variance in process and provided the methods to reduce the variance in perspective of corrective actions and preventive actions. The variance of process was reduced to carry on next step of ‘mean improvement’. By using new methodology of Six Sigma, the paper compared and analyzed new Six Sigma process and found out the KPIVs. It utilized Six Sigma tools to find out the best subset of factors to maximize the effort of output. The result proved new ‘Six Sigma drove by SPC’ was more efficient and had a better effort.
