The investigation into the competence of specialized market is based on the theories of enterprises' competence, modern commodity circulation and management. The technical process of this research can be described as: Theoretical investigation-contrastive analysis-positive study.Firstly, based on the definition and characteristics of the specialized market, analysis of the classification, the market will be divided into two kinds of development model: do not rely on industry to support the model and industry support the development of the model.Secondly, after giving a brief introduction of the nature of enterprises' competence, a theoretical analysis is focused on the nature and components of competence for specialized market. It is argued that the competence for specialized market is the integration of knowledge and techniques which is rooted in the general nature of specialized market and can sustain the reduction of cost in commodity exchange. Attraction, management and influence are the three components of competence for specialized market. This is what the basic theoretical research of this thesis is mainly about and where the creativity of this research is embodied.Based on the theoretical research, in this paper, to use contrastive analysis, compare the level of competitiveness under two types of specialized market. By comparison, the two found there are differences in the market attractiveness and influence, industry support the development of the model has an obvious advantage. In addition, under industry support the development of the model, research the relationship between the competitiveness of specialized market and the level of industry support. Through research and found that the higher the level of support, the greater the influence and attractiveness of the market. Verified that industry support can increase the influence and attractiveness of the market.Finally, combination the successful experience of China Commodity City and the City of Haining Leather, specified the direction of development for two different development models of the specialized market. Under do not rely on industry to support the model, the development of ideas: to improve the inherent quality, search for relying on industry, to try to convert the "runway" to find a new growth point of competitiveness.
