In recent years, Peer-to-Peer lending developed very rapidly, but with the increasing competition in the industry, the number of abnormal platforms is also growing, thereby arouse the concern of academics. Currently, the competition for qualified assets is fierce increasingly, so that the majority of Peer-to-Peer lending platforms is facing transformation. An important direction of platform development is excavating high-quality assets deeply in the vertical field combined with supply chain finance. In the case that this paper studied,’Leather City Finance’ which is the first Peer-to-Peer lending platform established by a listed company which is the type of large-scale professional market (Haining Leather City) in China, combines supply chain finance and online Peer-to-Peer lending. The platform translates risk control of individual enterprise into risk control of overall supply chain with the advantages of the major shareholder in terms of logistics, capital flow and information flow, and thus effectively reduce the problem of information asymmetry. At present, there is less research on the mode of Peer-to-Peer lending for the professional market in domestic and foreign literature, mostly just for the mode of pure Peer-to-Peer lending. In this study, I collected information relevant to the case through field research and other methods, and then organized and analyzed the data. The study included specific business model, operational flow, profitability and risk control mode of the P2P platform for professional market. On this basis, I analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of the existing business model, and then try to put forward my own suggestions for improvement, in order to provide reference for decision-making.
