Research On The Specialized Market Environment And SMEs' Enterpreneurial Performance

Since late 20^th century, China economic growth has maintained a high speed persistently, which SMEs play a very important role on. And the specialized markets provide a good platform for SMEs' development. Zhejiang is the most active area of the development of specialized markets, Yiwu, as a typical specialized market cluster which produces lots of commodities locally, fully shows the economic developing pattern that industrial clusters develop combined with specialized market together. The purpose of this study is to ascertain the relationship between the specialized market environment and SME's entrepreneurial performance by taking Yiwu small commodity city as sample.This study defines the structure of the specialized market environment, and establishes the evaluation index system for the specialized market environment. The evaluation index system has 4 first grade indexes, 16 secondary indexes, and 29 third grade indexes.This study bases on the questionnaire investigation data of enterprises in Yiwu small commodity city: by the statistical analysis of the data, we get the evaluation results of Yiwu small commodity city environment and entrepreneurial performance;by the investigation of entrepreneur, entrepreneurial styles, entrepreneurial financing and entrepreneurial patterns, we find the characteristics of entrepreneurial activities in Yiwu small commodity city; by the regression analysis between Yiwu small commodity city's environment and entrepreneurial performance, we find the relationship between them. The results shows that: Yiwu small commodity city has to improve its specialized market environment in some aspects, such as anti-fraud system, self-discipline organizations and finance services; the entrepreneurship activities in Yiwu small commodity city have some characteristics, for example, the age of entrepreneurs is older than normal, the education degree of them is low, and the innovation capability of the SMEs is low, too; the surviving performance is positive correlated to manage environment and service environment ,the growing performance is positive correlated to trading environment and socioeconomic conditions. This study can not only provide reference to the reform and innovation of Yiwu small commodity city, it also can be used as reference for the development of other specialized markets in China.
