A Study Of Strategy Planning And Implementation Of Technology Transformation Of Commercial Banks

Entering the 21st century, the current operation and development of the finance sector is facing a more competitive market. Commercial banks are continuously keen on seeking developing their core competence which demands a fast application of technology transformation that meets the growing market. Technology transformation is not only considered as an assistant tool that simulates manual processing and supports business operation, but is also viewed as a roll booster of creating core competence and realizing business transformation.This dissertation presents a pilot study in the strategy planning and implementation of developing technology transformation of commercial banks. In this dissertation, the author starts with the current development of technology transformation of rural credit union of City A. Integrating the case study of rural credit union of City A, he systematically studies the main theory of technology transformation, and brings forward the strategy and implementation of technology transformation, as well as the identification, prevention and control of risk in order to help rural credit union of City A and other medium-sized and small financial organizations in building a forward-looking and flexible technology transformation system of their own so that they can enhance the future competitive ability.This dissertation includes seven chapters. Chapterâ… is the introduction which analyzes the background, signification, method, basic structure and thought of this dissertation. Chapterâ…¡is based on information collected from related literatures. It summarizes the concepts, theories and literatures concerned, and provides the following text with grounds of theory and direction of development. Chapterâ…¢expatiates on the development steps of technology transformation of both US-based enterprises and domestic enterprises. The current status of technology transformation of the rural credit union is also mentioned in detail. Chapterâ…£indicates the exiting problems of technology transformation of the rural credit union of City A. Chapterâ…¤practically puts forward a technology transformation strategy in accordance with its current development by analyzing the interior and exterior competition confronted with the rural credit union of City A. Taking the rural credit union of City A as an example, Chapter VI tables a proposal for the strategy planning of technology transformation which includes working methods, goals and contents. This chapter also brings forwards an implementation program in detail. In the final chapter, the author summarizes the study of this dissertation and points out its deficiency. At the same time, he also suggests some points in the future study.
