In twenty-first century, the competition between enterprise for talented person is fierce. Under the new circumstances and challenges that the enterprise compete for whole world, with the introduction of talent,the managers ought to take trust among people in organization seriously, especially the trust between the superior and subordinate.It can strengthen the organization cohesiveness, reduce the organization running and managing cost, improve the organization achievement effect , create competitive advantage.The significant differences between the Chinese tradition culture and the west culture,decide that the trust between the superior and subordinate in china is unlike the west surely.A market economy has developed in China for just only twenty years,flawerless systems and criterions haven't been estabilished up to now.So it is particularly important to establish good interpersonal trust in organization.And Chinese people emphasize "face",so the impression management behavior is very obvious. In present, the trust between the superior and subordinate and the impression management in enterprises have become important issues to managers.Reviewing the former domestic and foreign literature, we can found that the research about each of the impression management and the trust between the superior and subordinate is rich,but few researches study about the relationship between the two. Based on this fact,it is necessary to do research about the effect of impression management on the trust between the superior and subordinate deeoly and thoroughly. This research have more theoretical and practical significance under the Chinese tradition culture which focus on "face"and "guanxi". This study takes 311 employees of Zhejiang province as sample.we use SPSS to analyze the data.The questionnaire of this study is to investigate the influence of the impression management to the trust between the superior and subordinate using factor analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis.The finding of this study are:(1) When the superior use impression management, the favored order is: intimidation, self-promotion, exemplification, ingratiation supplication.(2) When the subordinate use impression manage-ment, the favored order is: ingratation; self-promotion; intimidation; exempl-ification;supplication.(3) Generally speaking, superior use impression management would result in negative up-ward trust.But the superior use ingratiation would result in positive up-ward trust;the superior use supplication would not effect to the up-ward trust; the superior use self-promotion,intimidation and exemplification would result in negative up-ward trust.(4) Generally speaking, subordinate use impression management would result in negative down-ward trust.But the subordinate use supplication would result in positive down-ward trust;the subordinate use intimidation would not effect to the down-ward trust;the subordinate use intimidation, self-promotion and exemplification would result in negative down-ward trust.
