The Discussion About The Further Development Of Family Farms In The South Of Jiangsu

Household Responsibility System gained impressive performance, at the same time, its shortcomings were increasingly exposed, especially in the south of Jiangsu. On one hand, rural industrialization and urbanization developed rapidly, on the other hand, the issue of multiple job-holding is severe, small scale agricultural production makes lower competitiveness and comparative returns. Therefore, in the case that existing land system has almost released all the energy, land traditional function has been breakthrough, the land institutional reform is imperative.This paper introduces the development of family farms in the south of Jiangsu, and analyzes the necessity and possibility of the further development of family farms. And bring forward some suggestions about the further development of family farms in southern Jiangsu, combine the experiences abroad.This paper has some referenced value in how to improve Household Responsibility System and how to solve its problems emerged in some developed areas such as Yangtze River Delta as the development of the economy. Meanwhile, this paper also gives some theoretical references about the implementation of Household Responsibility System in these areas. Finally, this paper analyzes the scale of land management in southern Jiangsu. We believe that, at present, we should stick to the development of small and medium sized family farms in southern Jiangsu.
