Facing the competitive market, the enterprise should not only reduce the production cost, but also respond quickly to the flexible demand to advance the service level. The corporations must joint together as a supply chain, because the market is the competition among supply chains rather than the corporations. Obviously, information sharing is the best way to ally the corporations in the supply chain. The manufactures use rolling MPS to make production plan, and the selection of replanning interval makes great impacts on the stability of production plan. We introduce the replanning interval to our research and study its influence to the supply chain performance. On the side of managing MPS, the traditional single freezing fence approach can't respond to the market demand quickly, and a new approach of multiple freezing fences is introduced to our dissertation. We also study the impacts of the forecasting method of market to the supply chain performance in our dissertation.This dissertation presented the study on the impact of the approach of managing freeze fence, information sharing, replanning interval and forecasting method on the performance of a supply chain with one capacitated manufacture and four retailers under uncertainty demands of three items. A computer model was developed to simulate the supply chain. The object-oriented C++ language was used to process the simulation program. The production status, the inventory status and the sale status were observed in the process of the program simulation. The output from the program were analyzed by the statistically software, to get the conclusion about the impact of managing freeze fence and information sharing on supply chain performance. |
