Study On Lean And Six Sigma Applied In Small And Medium Enterprises

In the seventies of twenty century, Japanese used Toyota Production Manufacture to catch up with the advanced companies in industry, and became the champion of the manufacturing. In order to change the position in manufacturing, last eighties, Motorola bring the new term six sigma to its quality management. From then on, GE bring the concept of Six Sigma to its strategy management, then the new term Six Sigma Management was born, and bring the huge profit to GE. Now, practices prove that the synergy between Lean and Six Sigma will bring more profit to company.In China, Small and Medium Enterprises, which is now dominating in the manufacturing, play an important role in promoting economy. But, the outdate management mode of Small and Medium Enterprises is the bottleneck to their development. To explore a management mode that suitable to Small and Medium Enterprises is an important thing to us.The construction of this paper is: Introducing the theory of lean and Six Sigma, the practices in manufacturing of the world; Discussing the advantage of the synergy between Lean and Six Sigma in manufacturing; Introducing the means of implement on the synergy between Lean and Six Sigma.
