A Study On Project Management's Team Forming And Developing

Project management is a modern management mode, theories and application of which are increasingly standing out with the increase of social construction quantities and strict requirement for managing the project. Project manager who takes the most part of responsibility and the organizer of the project plays an important role in accomplishing the project; Project team is essential to the project organization and management system, so it is also a key work for project manager to do.This paper aims at seeking efficient measures for solving management problems of project team by researching on management of it on the basis of project manager under the background of project management so that project team can accomplish the aim of the project smoothly.This paper applies theories of modern management, project management, HR management, and uses qualitative method plus quantitative one to research the question of project manager and project team building in detail. Firstly, summarizing the conception of project manager and project team; Next, introducing the idea of lead and management, explicating the makings and characters of project manager;Still, dissertating the idea of management and lead which match the project, and explaining the contents of project manager building team by using situational leadership model; then, analyzing the different role of project manager in five phases of team development by using Contingency Theory and posing performance management of project team;Finally, analyzing a case about a construction project team, studying three stages of the team that is, Storming, Normalizing, Performing, so as to find out the measures, which is beneficial for project to build project team easily.
