In this paper, the author is devoted to the research on how to improve the overhaul management work of GD Power Datong Power Generation CO., LTD (hereinafter referred to as the company). The aim is to find deficiencies of the company in the overhaul maintenance through analyzing the main questions that exist in the overhaul management at present; In view of these questions, the thesis proposes the assumptions of the specific approaches to"management by respective projects"after the analysis and the research, These assumptions and measures through the practical examination on 7 # Unit B-level maintenance has enhanced the overhaul quality, shortened the time limit for a project and improved the company's overhaul management level. This paper on overhaul management has certain reference value for the newly built power plants that are not equipped with overhaul team.
