Study On The Urban Fringe Land-use Of KaiFeng City

With the rapid development of urban and rural economy, urban construction has entered a new stage, and City framework has enlarged continuously. Urban fringe area lies between built-up areas and periphery purely agricultural hinterland, and obviously has characteristics of urbanization. Due to expansion of urban areas, it has spread to the "hot spot"—urban fringe. Thus urban fringe is the most active, and with the structure of land-use rapid developing. It is the fringe of urban that suburban agricultural landscape succession to the urban landscape notably.Change in urban fringe land use has been more obvious and more active in Kaifeng City by the urbanization. In the context of"the Central Plain Cities"and"Zhengzhou & Kaifeng Integration"Kaifeng City will face to great development opportunities unprecedentedly. In this new situation, study on land-use of the urban fringe has of great practical significance.This paper studies on in the domain of the urban fringe in Kaifeng, especially on the characteristics of marginal fringe land-use. The study begins with the theoretical and empirical research of urban fringe, based on the scope of Kaifeng urban fringe defined, it interpret the process of urban fringe, and summarise the dynamics development model. The paper evaluate the present situation and dynamics change of marginal fringe land-use with a serial mathematical model, then analyses the characteristics and problem on urban fringe land-use, in order to explor the countermeasures of urban fringe in Kaifeng City.The Paper draw the following conclusions: (1) From land-use analysis, we found land-use areas of urban fringe in Kaifeng City is significant by impact of the city centre. The complexity of land use structure and dynamic changes of land use show that regional development is unbalanced. Generally speaking, urban fringe land-use is on the stage of development; (2)It is found that the characteristics on structure of land-use, use transformation and dynamics development, then the author summarise the problem of urban fringe land-use;(3) Forecast the trend of development in Kaifeng urban fringe: rapid development in the west, steady development in the southe and conservative development in the north;(4) countermeasures of urban fringe in Kaifeng City: Improving the corresponding laws and regulations, strengthening land-use management; planning urban fringe land use rationally; optimizing the urban fringe land-use structure; sustainable developing urban fringe continuably, coordinating urban and rural development; setting functional area reasonably, and using land intensivly and orderly.
